לפני קצת יותר מחודשיים, בתוך כל התוהו ובוהו של נגיף הקורונה, שלושה אנשי עסקים בברוקלין, זלמי כהן, שלומי גרינוולד, ובערל יוניק, ניהלו קמפיין המאחד מעל 340,000 יהודים הנמצאים בבידוד באמצעות כתיבת 'ספר תורה ניסי' בהשראת סיפור הנס מתקופת הבעש"ט, כשכתיבת ספר תורה עצרה את המגיפה באותם ימים.

אבל היה גם מקור נוסף וברור:
בשבת חנוכה תשמ"ב, חודשים ספורים לאחר שנכתב ספר התורה לילדי ישראל, דיבר הרבי על מלחמת לבנון הראשונה שהיתה אז, וקרא את הפסוק בדניאל: "בעת ההיא ימלט על עמך הכתוב בספר". כלומר, כל מי שיהיה כתוב בספר התורה - יינצל.
עם תקדים הבעש"ט והסבר הרבי, יצאו לקמפיין במסגרתו נרשמו למעלה מ-300,000 יהודים לספר התורה, בתוך כשלושה שבועות.

שלומי גרינוולד, חשב על דרך מקורית להנציח את האירוע המיוחד, הוא פנה לאלי מרקוס ברעיון, לשיר עם מילים מתוך הפסוק בספר דניאל.
חודשיים לאחר מכן, ולאחר שגייסו גם את אברהם פריד והמלחין יוסי גרין, השיר 'בעת ההיא' הושלם.

Song Dedicated to Miracle Sefer Torah Released

A brand-new musical collaboration between Avraham Fried, Eli Marcus, and Yossi Green has just been released to the public. The song, Ub’ais Hahi, commemorates the moving display of Jewish unity around the Miracle Sefer Torah in the darkest days of the virus just over two months ago.

The lyrics are a moving verse from Sefer Daniel: “...It will be a time of trouble, the likes of which have never been since the nation came into being. At that time, your people will be rescued, all who are found inscribed in the book.”

The “book”, the Rebbe said, is the Sefer Torah.

Shloimy Greenwald, of United for Protection, said, “After the truly monumental achdus this Sefer Torah brought about, we thought it would be fitting to enshrine that moment in a song, in celebration.”

Yossi Green, the prolific composer responsible for countless Jewish music classics, composed the song. Avraham Fried and Eli Marcus lend their signature talents to the heartfelt rendition.
